Saturday, August 8th, 2010--Into the Valley

Today we had another leisurely morning with a few bear calls in the a.m. Likely we went up to do some stretching on the high plateau. We weren't in a great hurry as we were planning to hike into the Valley--about a 9 mile hike according to the maps, by 5 pm to catch the bus back to our camp--or near our camp. As a consequence, we didn't hit the trailhead until 10:30, without much sense of urgency--a mistake as it turned out!

Friday, August 6th-- Tuolumne meadows and Lembert Dome

Drove up to Olmstead Point, Tenaya Lake and Lembert Dome plus getting provisions!

Neighbors: Dad from Oxnard with teenage sons--bear ate his candles last night.
